Challengers Baseball

 The Little League Challenger Division was founded in 1989, and is Little
League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and
intellectual challenges.

Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate.
If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball
or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so.

The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4 to 18; or up
to age 22 if still enrolled in school. The Senior League Challenger
Division accommodates players ages 15 and above (no maximum age).
Challengers is provided at no cost to the players in our League.
Challengers games are on Sundays, usually at either 10, 12, or 2. Games are played in Walnut Creek as well as the surrounding area. games start mid March and conclude in June. Games last about an hour.

There is a District wide Jamboree that Walnut Creek hosts, and this year that will be at Heather Farms Park on April 26th, 2026.

There are three Divisions available for players:

Challengers is for players born after Aug 31, 2011.

Challengers Seniors is for players born before Sept 1, 2011.

Challengers Majors if for player born before Sept 1, 2011 who want a more competitive game. These players should possess the ability to accurately throw, consistently catch thrown and batted balls, consistently hit a coach pitch ball, and should have the understanding of base running and playmaking. Outs and runs are recorded in this Division.
