Fireseams Bring Home 2021 Majors Championship!

After going 9 and 1 in the regular season, the Fireseams battled the Bombers in the 2021 season finale.  Led by Manager Phil Parker and Coaches Steve Wood, Dustin Toland and Adam McBride the Walnut Creek Fireseams cap off the season by bringing home the Majors Division Championship.

Despite winning 22 to 1, title game was very well-played by both teams throughout.  Don’t let that score fool you the final score was bloated by an 12 run bottom of the 5th inning for the Fireseams.

Championship Highlights Include:

  • Oren G. and Russell M. with multiple hits for the Bombers
  • Pitching by AJ A. that kept the Fireseams offense in check early
  • The Bombers infield defense was exceptional the entire game - - squashing Fireseams rallies multiple times
  • Josh S. blasted 2 home runs (1 over the fence) in the game for the Fireseams
  • Will P. and Eli V. had 4 hits each for the Fireseams
  • Relentless pounding of the strike zone by Fireseams pitchers Zach, Josh and Will P.
  • Riley P. completed the regular season and the playoffs with 0 strikeouts despite going to a 1-2 count in the bottom of the 5th in his last at bat of the season!
  • Batters 1 through 7 in The Fireseams lineup went 22 for 24 on the night
