Walnut Creek Little League is always striving to provide the best possible baseball experience for our players as they transition to the larger diamond and higher levels of competition.

To provide our teen players with the best opportunities to hone their baseball skills, WCLL is proud to partner with The Nines Baseball Academy to help our players reach their goals. The Nines Baseball Academy will take over management of both our Intermediate (13) and Junior (14) teams. They will oversee both coach and player development. Teams will also have access to an in-door training facility as part of a regular practice schedule. If competition is allowed this spring, teams will play up to 15 games against other leagues that partake in district 4. In normal years, we also place an Intermediate and Junior team in the Little League World Series Tournament. However, the tournament is unlikely to happen this year. Finally, there will also be opportunities to participate in weekend tournaments throughout the season.

The Nines Baseball Academy was recently founded by Duke Zielinski, Lou Cesario, Jake Benson, Todd Lee, and Ricky Pato. Together, this group has been coaching baseball at the high school, college, Olympic and professional level for over 40 years. They also run SportForm who has supported Walnut Creek Little league with coaching and player development for many years. They take great pride in molding and shaping strong, physically/mentally tough and mechanically/fundamentally well-rounded baseball players.

Registration is now open and has been extended until January 17.  Because we are under such unique circumstances this year we are going to waitlist all players at registration and players will come off the waitlist on a first come first serve basis. We hope to field two teams in both divisions.
